Woolacombe is one of the most naturally beautiful holiday areas of the British Isles. From here the views of Lundy Island, and of Wales across the Bristol Channel, are spectacular at any time of the year. A great variety of excellent walks on the surrounding coastline and countryside, including nearby Exmoor, are easily accessible. There are also ample opportunities for horse-riding, cycling, fishing and sailing in the area. The clean sands of Woolacombe Bay, which holds the prestigious 'Blue Flag' award, are three miles long and are well known for good quality surfing.
